Banks and Money Exchanges
ATM's are often located in small booths where only one person goes in at a time. Although there is no charge for using the ATM from one's own bank, there is a charge for non-customers using another bank's ATM. Rather than receipts, the machines often have users insert their bank book and the transactions are then printed on the book. For those with no bank books, a receipt will be printed out. The currency dealt by banks is generally yen only, but certain banks, such as Citibank, allow the customer to make deposits in both yen as well as dollars. Many banks exchange currency.
