Travel Between Cities
When traveling between either cities or even countries bordering Spain, one can choose either a bus or train. Buses tend to be less expensive than trains, but they take longer. They tend to be clean and comfortable; one can purchase a ticket directly at the station.
Trains cost more than buses and offer several different classes from which to choose. Regular trains are modern, clean, and perfectly adequate for travel. Express trains are faster, more luxurious, and more expensive. Either class offers a bar car.
Commuter trains have routes between the suburbs and cities. Tickets are for sale in the station and must be validated by the inspector on the train.
